Plenty of talented creators quietly sabotage their own sales because pitching feels gross — like they're pestering people, taking something. That feeling is real, and it's also based on a picture of selling that doesn't have to be true.
You're offering, not extracting
If you genuinely believe your product helps, telling people about it is a service, not an imposition. The people it's for want to know it exists. Staying quiet to feel polite just means they miss something that would have helped them.
Sell like you'd recommend a friend's work
You have no trouble recommending a great restaurant or a book you loved. Sell your own work in that voice — enthusiastic, honest, specific about who it's for — and the 'salesy' feeling mostly disappears.
