Sell one thing well before you sell ten

A shop with ten half-finished products converts worse than a page with one great one. Focus is a sales tactic.

It feels productive to fill a store. More products, more chances to sell, surely. In practice a crowded shop of mediocre offers converts worse than a single page built around one thing you're genuinely proud of.

Choice is a cost to the buyer. Ten options means ten small decisions, and a tired brain resolves 'which one?' by choosing none of them.

What one offer buys you

  • A page you can actually make great, because all your attention is on one thing.
  • A clear story — you're known for the one product, not vaguely associated with twelve.
  • Real feedback — with one offer you can tell what's working; with ten the signal is noise.

Expand from strength

Add the second product once the first is selling and you understand why. The next offer is easy when it's the obvious follow-up your existing buyers keep asking for — not a guess you made to fill space.
