Link-in-bio design tips that make a page feel trustworthy

Good design here isn't decoration — it's the difference between a page that feels safe to tap and one that feels like a risk.

A designer's desk with color swatches, a tablet and a laptop

A visitor judges your page in the time it takes to blink. Before they read a word, the look tells them whether you're legit. Design, on a bio link, is not about being pretty — it's about earning enough trust to make the tap feel safe.

None of this requires a designer. It requires restraint.

Let it breathe

Cramped pages feel cheap and stressful. Generous spacing between buttons makes a page feel considered and calm, and calm reads as credible. When in doubt, remove an element rather than shrink the gaps.

Use colour with discipline

One accent colour, used for the thing you most want tapped, guides the eye better than a rainbow. Keep the rest neutral so the primary button is the loudest thing on the page. Contrast is what makes an action obvious.

  • Pick one accent for your primary action, and stop.
  • Keep backgrounds calm so buttons stand out.
  • Make sure text has enough contrast to read on a phone.

Design for the thumb

This page will almost always be seen on a phone, held one-handed. Buttons need to be big enough to tap without aiming, and text big enough to read without zooming. Test it on your own phone before you share it.

Consistency is a trust signal

A page that matches your feed — same colours, same photo, same tone — feels like a continuation, not a detour. That visual handshake reassures people they're in the right place. Match your brand and the page feels like home.
