A DM asking 'how much?' is about as warm as a lead gets. The person sought you out, opened a conversation, and is holding their attention on you right now. And the usual response — 'check the link in my bio' — sends that attention away to go hunting.
Every step you add between the question and the purchase is a chance for the moment to cool. The goal is to close the loop while they're still in it.
Keep it moving
- Answer the question directly — say the price, don't make them dig for it.
- Send the exact link — straight to the product they asked about, not your homepage.
- Make that link take payment — so 'how much?' and 'done' happen in the same conversation.
Be quick, then be human
Speed matters here more than polish — a fast, friendly reply while they're still typing beats a perfect one an hour later. Answer like a person, point them at the thing, and let the page do the rest.
